Stacy Patterson is a highly skilled and compassionate board-certified speech-language pathologist with a remarkable career spanning over two decades. Since 1998, she has been an invaluable member of the Visalia Hearing Center, previously known as Shurson Hearing and Speech Center, providing essential Speech and Language services to the community. She has extensive experience working directly with preschool and school-age students targeting a variety of childhood communication disorders.
Background and Education: Stacy Patterson earned her Master's degree from California State University, San Jose in 1998 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association a year later. Armed with a strong educational foundation, she returned to her hometown to embark on her journey to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children facing communication challenges. She maintains active memberships in professional organizations including California Speech-Language Hearing Association, California Speech and Hearing Board, and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
Personal Philosophy: Stacy believes that every person deserves the opportunity to express themselves and connect with others. Her patient-centered approach and deep empathy have made her a trusted advocate for children striving to overcome communication deficits. While Stacy has expertise in a wide variety of childhood communication disorders/delays, she specializes in treating speech sound disorders including, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
