Who We Cannot Help
We’d rather be straight with you now than waste your time. Unfortunately, there are several categories of hearing aids we are simply unable to adopt into our program. To be clear, for each of the following categories we absolutely can help you, but you’d need new prescriptive hearing aids for us to assist.
Who We Can Help
Our Adoption Program is designed specifically for patients who already have name-brand prescriptive hearing aids from one of the world’s six leading manufacturers (Oticon, ReSound, Phonak, Signia, Starkey, or Widex), purchased through an in-person clinical provider other than us.
You might be a great fit if:
You’ve Recently Moved to Tulare County
You purchased quality hearing aids from a great clinic in another city or state, but now you’re local and you need a new clinical home. Welcome! We’d love to take over your care.
Your Previous Provider Can No Longer Serve You
Your former clinic closed
Your clinic lost its hearing aid provider and there’s no one there to help you anymore
You’re looking for a different standard of care from a new provider
You’re a VA Patient Looking for More
We have tremendous respect for the work the VA is trying to do for veterans’ hearing health. However, VA audiologists are stretched thin; they simply don’t have the time to create the kind of personalized, boutique hearing care experience that leads to optimal outcomes.
Creating optimal hearing care outcomes is exactly what we specialize in. If you’re a veteran who wants more, we’d be honored to provide you with exceptional audiological care.
Please note: The VA will not cover services at our clinic. Adoption services for veterans are provided on a fully out-of-pocket basis.
How the Adoption Process Works
We don’t just accept any hearing aid and call it done. Our process is thorough, transparent, and built entirely around you.
Pricing
As of May 2026, a bundled care plan covering both ears is priced at $890 per year. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Want to understand the difference between bundled and pay-as-you-go care? Visit our Hearing Aid Pricing and Plan page for a full breakdown.
Insurance & Billing
Please be aware that Visalia Hearing Center does not bill insurance of any kind for Adoption Program services. All adoption services are provided on a fully out-of-pocket basis.
The only exception is Workers’ Compensation cases. If you are an injured worker who has previously been fitted with hearing aids and is seeking a new provider, please contact your claims adjuster and ask them to reach out to our office directly. If an agreement can be reached, we will be glad to take over your care.
